One of our favorite things to do in Paramount in the summer is to visit a local museum to brush up on our history knowledge. We love the Dominguez Rancho Adobe Museum because the site has special significance to our state’s history. Not only was it the first Spanish land grant in California, but it’s also the oldest existing grant still owned by the family of the original beneficiaries.

The Adobe Museum provides a special opportunity to have fun while learning about California’s history. With a variety of tours—featuring public, guided, private, and even Spanish-speaking tours—as well as programs every weekend, you’ll have plenty to do with your friends or family. The Dominguez Rancho Adobe Museum is also officially open to the public and has scheduled tours every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Paramount Drive-In Theatres

What screams summer more than a nostalgic visit to a drive-in theatre? Paramount Drive-In Theatres shows the most recent releases in the evenings, which means it’s the perfect spot for some relaxation after a day at work.
