Here are a few things we have implemented to promote green living at Four Seasons.
Drought-Tolerant Landscaping
We know Southern California is prone to droughts, so we do what we can to use water sparingly. First of all, our property has drought-tolerant landscaping, meaning that we use plants, like succulents, that don’t require a lot of water. We have also installed a drip irrigation system and utilize beautiful stone rather than grass in some areas of the property. This saves on gallons of water!
Low-Flow Toilets
Indoors, we save on water with our plumbing system. Most toilets use about 3.5 gallons of water every time they flush, but not ours! We have low-flow toilets , which use about 20 percent less water than regular toilets. Each low-flow toilet can surprisingly save up to 13,000 gallons of water per year.
Paper- and Plastic-Free Setup
Not only do we save on water, but we also save on paper by doing everything—rent payments, service requests, applications, and notices—online. This isn’t just convenient for our residents, but it eliminates the need for unnecessary paper waste.

Recycling
At Four Seasons, we encourage all of our residents to recycle. Items to recycle include plastic containers and bottles, empty cans, paper, and cardboard. But be careful not to recycle anything with liquid, food plastic bags, or plastic wrap, as these things can interfere with the ability of other things to be recycled.
In Paramount, you can recycle at Paramount Resource Recycling . We encourage all to make the extra effort to recycle whatever you can.

Organic waste recycling will be coming soon to our local community, and we can’t wait to participate! This initiative will help keep millions of pounds of food waste out of landfills and turn them into compost and renewable natural gas . We’ll keep you up to date as this program expands throughout the state.
